If you think the economy is hurting you should hear about the blood banks. I am calling on everyone who can to come to donate blood. Life South will hold a blood drive on Friday, August 21st @ Chick-Fil-A (Dahlonega) from 10:30 am - 5:30 pm.

Mountain Top Rodeo is celebrating their 20th anniversay. Come watch a real rodeo at the R-Ranch this Friday and Saturday. Come be one of the four to five thousand spectators and see bareback riders, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling and much much more. Don’t forget about the rodeo clowns!

Sadly, this year I will be missing the “Taste of the Mountains”. The community will be able to sample dishes from various restaurants from right here in Dahlonega. This event will be held at Lumpkin County High School this Thursday, March 26th at 6:00 p.m.

Mt. Zion Lodge #316 Georgia F&AM is holding their annual fall charity BBQ and yard sale on October 25, 2008. As in the past, all proceeds go to the needy in our community and our goal is to make this a banner year!
