What a fitting title for the launch of this directory. Last week all the printing was finished and the site is almost completely setup. The directory is already showing on the first page of Google! We will be adding local companies this week to start filling the directory. I hope to see many of you this week.

I will be contacting all businesses on the square before Christmas to see how much participation I can get with the window decals. They sure look nice! I think this will have one of the largest impacts on our visitors. Many people will remember something as catchy as ‘Dahlonega411.com’ if they see it in every window at every shop they go to.

I cannot wait to get out and start visiting businesses. I have a feeling that this directory will build up rather quickly. I will also have my wife Michelle working on contacting businesses via email inviting them to join the Dahlonega 411 directory too. The higher the level of participation the more marketing that can be done. We have hopes of acquiring advertisements in major papers like the Atlanta Journal Constitution as many of the residents of Atlanta do come and visit Dahlonega often.

Not to be forgotten are the newcomers and residents of Dahlonega. I am creating this directory for you too. I am fairly new to Dahlonega and still finding businesses to do business with. Many people who move up from lower counties are still so used to travelling down to exit 14 for shopping. Everything you need is right here in Dahlonega once you know where to go look.
