Does anyone still celebrate May Day? Do you remember how it goes. Get some flowers for someone you are thinking about. Set them on their doorstep first thing in the morning and knock on their door or ring their doorbell. As a special extra you can include a card with the flowers where you invite that person to Dahlonega to attend one of May's special events. Here is a list of May's events:

Mountain Flower Arts Festival
Public Square, Dahlonega • MAP IT! • 706-892-9741 The 25th Annual Mountain Flower Fine Art and Wine Festival will be held Saturday May 21 and Sunday May 22nd, 2011 on the Dahlonega Public Square. Along with all the fine art, there will be the Garden Expo located in Hancock Park and there will also be a sampling of the best wines in Georgia. |

Dahlonega Farmers Market
Hancock Park, Dahlonega • MAP IT! • 706-864-6133 The Dahlonega Farmer's Market is opening May 1st. It will be open every Saturday and Tuesday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. until October 30th at Hancock Park in downtown Dahlonega. Not only will you find locally grown fruits and vegetables but you can find some sweet and savory jams, jellies and other home-made items that will be for sale. |
